Alice Rushing, MASc., C.Psych

Psychologist

FOUNDER

Alice Rushing, MASc., Psychologist is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, as a Psychologist and is a member of the Ontario Association of Psychological Associates. She specializes in Psycho-Educational and ADHD Assessment with children and adults, and she also provides ADHD Coaching, Learning Strategy Development and Personal Counselling, focused on goal setting and stress management. Ms. Rushing completed both her undergraduate and Masters degrees at the University of Waterloo. She has a passion and a longstanding history supporting students with Learning Disabilities and ADHD. She held the position of President of the Board of Directors of the Learning Disabilities Association of Kitchener-Waterloo for several years. Ms. Rushing worked for over a decade as the Learning Specialist in AccessAbility at the University of Waterloo and continues to consult at the University of Guelph regarding learning supports for students with disabilities. She also has experience through the Waterloo Catholic District School Board as a Psychoeducational Consultant. Ms. Rushing has a strong awareness of accessibility issues for individuals with disabilities, promoting barrier-free education and employment.

Christine Pond, M.E.d.

ASSOCIATE

Christine Pond received a Masters degree in Developmental Psychology & Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.  She conducts psycho-educational assessments under the supervision of Alice Rushing.  Christine has twenty-five years of experience conducting assessments with children and young adults for various developmental concerns including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and attention deficit disorders. She enjoys working with families and has a great rapport with young children

Jenn Galbraith, B.Ed., RP (qualifying).

Educational Therapist

Jenn is a dedicated helping professional with over 15 years of experience across education, social services, and mental health support. Her professional background includes roles as a Teacher, Child and Youth Worker, and Educational Therapist, providing her with a broad interdisciplinary foundation for working with children, youth, adults, and families with diverse needs.

A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and Nipissing University, Jenn has built her career around helping individuals develop the skills, confidence, and supports they need to thrive. With a strong foundation in Special Education and extensive experience supporting ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and mental health challenges, Jenn takes a strengths-based, collaborative, and relationship-centred approach to her work.

As a counsellor, Jenn's area of focus is supporting neurodivergent children, teens, parents, and couples. She recognizes that neurodivergence can affect not only the individual, but also relationships, family dynamics, parenting, communication, self-esteem, and the ways individuals understand themselves and their experiences. Her approach emphasizes understanding the person within their broader context rather than viewing neurodivergence as something that needs to be “fixed.”

Jenn brings creativity and experiential learning into her practice, frequently incorporating play-based and game-based approaches when working with children and youth. She is particularly interested in helping clients develop emotional regulation, executive functioning, communication, self-understanding, and relationship skills while building on existing strengths.

Jenn is in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and holds additional training in ASIST, Mental Health First Aid, and 2SLGBTQIA+ Diversity and Inclusion. She is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and is expected to graduate in December 2026. Her continued professional development reflects her commitment to integrating her extensive educational and helping-professional experience with evidence-informed, compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming counselling practice.

Courtney Boehmer

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Courtney has been a valued member of the practice for over five years and plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the office. She supports all Associate’s clients, oversees scheduling and organization, and helps ensure the practice runs efficiently and smoothly. Courtney is known for keeping both the team and clients organized, supported, and informed, and she takes pride in creating a positive, seamless experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Having recently settled in Paris, Courtney is proud to call the community home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and can often be found at the arena coaching and playing ringette.

Makayla Emrich

Psychometrist

Makayla is a graduate of McMaster University, where she earned her degree in Social Psychology in 2020. She is currently continuing her academic journey at Adler Graduate Professional School, pursuing graduate-level studies to deepen her knowledge in Clinical and Counselling Psychology. Makayla is a registered member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and works in a psychometric role under the supervision of Alice.
